In this tutorial I will show you the workflow and techniques I have developed for creating baroque ornaments by making the material for the interior walls.
My main focus with this project was to tell a story through textures and efficiently create detailed baroque ornaments and furniture. I experimented with a variety of techniques, including photogrammetry and sculpting high poly meshes. In the end, it proved most efficient to create simple geometry meshes and combine procedural or painted heightmaps within Substance Designer.
